EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Metacognition Change Management Toolkit, provide adult education organizations and their
leaders with the resources they need to help their teachers and learners integrate digital education
and metacognition into their existing learning environment in a sustainable way.

The toolkit include: a comprehensive guide to managing and successfully implementing integration
of digital education and change management, information about professional development
schemes for change management, tools for teachers and learners, for integrating metacognition
into different teaching and learning activities, advices on financing the integration, resources for

supporting teachers in their professional development and case studies and examples of successful
metacognition implementation in adult education.

In other words, the toolkit will provide everything that adult education organizations and their
leaders need to get started with integrating metacognition into their learning environment, and to
do so in a way that is sustainable and effective. The toolkit is designed to be user-friendly and
accessible to individuals of all experience levels. It is written in a clear and concise style, and it is
visually appealing.

The Metacognition Change Management Toolkit is:

• Targeted to adult education organizations and their leaders, adult teachers and low-skilled adult
learners.

• Available as an open source, online, as a digital education learning material,

• Available in 7 languages: English, Estonian, Greek, Italian, Polish, Portuguese and Romanian.

• Developed under the coordination of KEA IM Syrou regarding content, and contribution from all

partners of Met-AE project.
