14. EXPLORING NEW LEARNING AVENUES
Cases of application for the job market
B.
Maria is a young employee in a high-tech
company. She felt very proud of herself when
she was selected for her position, but soon she
realized that the biggest challenge has only
begun. Day after day, her stress was increasing
because although she carried out all her tasks
successfully and timely, she could not make
herself seen enough.
Maria started to search for relevant information that could help her stand out
and catch her colleagues’ interest. It was funny for her to understand that she
needs new skills to help her continue learning on her own, which was the only
thing that she didn’t learn in school. Slowly, she has developed her skills in
exploring new ways of learning to keep up with the latest trends in her field.
Instead of sticking to her existing knowledge, she made time to attend online
courses, seminars and technology conferences. Furthermore, she has been
open to sharing this knowledge with her team, organizing information-sharing
sessions and facilitating discussions about how new technologies can be
integrated into current projects.
This proactive approach has had a significant impact on her team's
performance. The team has adopted new technologies and practices,
increasing efficiency and innovation in their projects. Maria and her
colleagues have been recognized within the company for their outstanding
results, and their continuous research skills have helped to strengthen the
organization’s position in a dynamic competitive environment. And she
created strong ties with her teammates whom she also liked to spend time
outside offices, which was amazing.
