effectively utilized now that it is finalized. Through collaborative endeavors and reflective practices,

6.6 KENTRO EREUNAS KAI ANAPTYXIS IERAS MHTROPOLIS SYROU (GREECE)
The Met-AE project in Greece highlighted a critical need for awareness and understanding of critical
skills among both teachers and adult learners. Many teachers and students were unfamiliar with
the concept of meta-skills, despite their obvious potential to improve learning and overcome
challenges. While educators recognized the value of post-skills on entry, low-skilled adults
resonated mainly with the practical application of these skills in the labor market, rather than the
theoretical concept itself. The project highlights the power of metacognitive skills, affecting not only
professional life but the overall well-being of people.
Some key insights for the Met-AE project in Greece include prioritizing practicality in adult
involvement. Focusing on concrete, applicable skills rather than abstract concepts when introducing
meta-skills. Demonstrating the relevance of these skills to the labor market is crucial, particularly in
terms of employability and career progression, to effectively motivate learners. The design of
interactive and engaging learning experiences is essential to the success of the project, creating
learner-centered approaches that deviate from traditional training methods, and in this way
potential learner resistance can be overcome. In addition, offering personalized guidance and
support is important, recognizing the specific barriers that low-skilled students may face in adopting

digital education.
Promoting the importance of meta-skills in all age groups is fundamental to lifelong learning.
Educators play an important role in this, shaping students' experiences by incorporating
metacognitive approaches and resources, empowering students to tackle complex challenges and
develop lifelong learning habits.
Projects like Meta-AE have the potential to significantly improve learning environments for both
educators and students. Initiatives like these, are catalysts to enhance learning experiences and
promote effective methodologies that benefit the education sector, encouraging continuous
improvement and growth for all involved.
6.7 UNIVERSITATEA STEFAN CEL MARE DIN SUCEAVA (ROMANIA)
The venture into metacognition and among Romanian adult learners and adult educators during the
implementation of Met-AE project was challenging and brought both revelations and unexpected
conclusions. Equally, the collaboration and exchange of information and practices with partners
from five other European countries allowed for a continuous reflection and comparison of diverse
but very relevant aspects of the Met-AE project theme. Among the lessons learned along the way,
here are some key conclusions.
