12. SELF-CONFIDENCE BUILDING AND TOLERANCE
Key approaches to implementing
the skill in a workplace
Effectively seeking assistance and support in the workplace
involves several key strategies to ensure you receive the help
you need:
Participate in professional training - When you identify
a need to develop a certain skill for your job and you
decide to attend a training course to build and improve
it, your confidence in yourself will be improved. You
will perform your duties better and faster, you will
solve problems more creatively and the feedback you
will receive from superiors will feel you really
appreciated.
Dress for success - Adapt your wardrobe to your
professional goals and business environment. If you
want to look professional according to the job you are
doing, try to dress accordingly. This is also valid for
different business events you are going to. If you fit
into the requirements of a certain dress code
(conferences, board meetings, meetings with clients), it
will boost your confidence and the confidence of your
superiors that you want to be a real professional.
Step outside your comfort zone - It is not easy to get
out of your comfort zone, but it is a very effective way
to be faced with new opportunities that could enhance
your professional career and that you would have
missed otherwise. When stepping out your comfort
zone focus mainly on your skills and strong points, and
you will see that the job you have to do will be much
easier and this will definitely boost your confidence.
