9. MENTAL WELL-BEING IN THE WORKPLACE
Cases of application for the job market
B.
During a particularly demanding
project at my previous job, our team
faced tight deadlines and intense
pressure. It was a high-stakes situation
where stress levels were running high
among colleagues.
Recognizing the strain on the team's mental well-being, I took the initiative to
suggest regular social chats and whenever possible short outdoors walks
during our breaks. I encouraged team members to join. Initially, some were
hesitant, but gradually, more colleagues started participating.
The impact was striking. People started expressing how these brief moments
of calm amidst the chaos helped them refocus, manage stress, and return to
tasks with a clearer mindset. The team atmosphere notably improved, with a
more supportive environment and increased productivity.
I also proposed flexible working hours to our manager so that we can better
manage our workloads and personal commitments. As a result, our team not
only met the project's demands but also did so with reduced stress levels and
improved morale. The positive atmosphere fostered greater collaboration,
leading to innovative solutions and a more cohesive team dynamic. It was
evident how maintaining mental well-being positively influenced our
productivity and overall performance.
