1. GROWTH ORIENTATION AND MOTIVATION
Cases of application for the job market
B.
At the previous firm I was involved in the
process of implementing a new customer
relationship management (CRM) system. I was
excited about the opportunity, but I knew it
would require me to learn and adapt quickly to
ensure successful integration of the system.
At first it was a steep learning curve, as I have never worked with this kind of
system. But since it was up to me to make sure that other colleagues will be able
to implement the system in their work, I dedicated extra hours for self-study,
studied multiple online tutorial and attended training sessions offered by the
software supplier to master the new tool.
There was multiple aspects that took me by surprise, but when I thought I could
not figure it out or solve an issue, I would reach out to IT department, the system
support desk or research about how other users dealt with this issue in the past. It
was a real challenge as it was not necessarily a type of a task I was used to do
since on daily basis I provided basic administrative support, but it helped me
develop my expertise in CRM systems from scratch. It helped me to develop my
problem-solving skills and improved my communication with cross-functional
teams.
This opportunity showed me how a new challenge can help you boost your skills
and career prospects in a relatively short time if you approach it with the right
mindset and prove yourself.
