2. SELF-AWARENESS AND CAPACITY RECOGNITION
How does it differ between the digital learning
and workplace context?
When you transfer from the digital learning to workplace application
there are 3 key differences you should be aware of:
It can be easier or harder to learn digitally depending on your
attitude and skillset. You could be someone who excel in a less
formal, non-controlled learning environment or you could be
one that has a hard time concentrating and it is easily
distracted. However, this can be the total opposite, as someone
is able to concentrate more and be more proficient on their
own. There is a subtle difference between what can be learned
in any training and how to implement it in the workplace as it is
harder to own the new skills acquired and translate it into real
life applications.
Digital learning environment have several tools that works very
well with self-awareness and capacity recognition. Quizzes, self-
assessment tools, real life examples and a safe environment are
great tools for each individual that consent the user to quickly
assess skills and capabilities without pressure and with many
different tools and methodologies. On the contrary, in the
workplace it is hard to find similar tools and effective strategies.
However, it is very important and has very practical results in
the workplace to know one-self and being able to assess own
strengths and weaknesses.
