2. SELF-AWARENESS AND CAPACITY
RECOGNITION
Practice Mindfulness - Mindfulness means being able
to deal with situations in the present moment rather
than dwelling on the past. Practicing mindfulness at
work gives you time and space to be present, which
can lead to resilience, mental agility, and self-
awareness. Additionally, mindfulness can reduce
emotional fatigue and increase openness to new ideas.
Know your abilities - If you know your abilities, you
can choose challenging tasks that don't overwhelm
your abilities. By learning about your own abilities and
strengths, you will be able to gain a new appreciation
for your own qualities that you previously
underestimated. This can give you clarity on your role
and allow you to leverage your strengths to improve
your confidence and productivity.
Ask others for honest feedback - When you're working,
look for colleagues and friends around the office to
talk to and ask for feedback on your work and
decisions. It's especially helpful to find a mentor who
can benefit you from their experience.
Check Yourself Regularly - To stay on track, it may be
useful to check your self-confidence regularly. You can
schedule regular meetings with your mentor and team
to think about ways to address issues and actions to
take. If you work alone, consider keeping a diary and
updating it regularly. You can point out things that
could have been improved or would benefit from
improvement. Personality tests, job evaluations, and
aptitude tests can also help with self-awareness.
