            The  relevance  of  this  case  study  for  adult  educators  and  adult  education  centres  lies  in  its
            comprehensive and forward-thinking approach. Recognising the rapid evolution of technology, La
            Grande École Numérique focuses on metacognitive skills, emphasising critical thinking, problem-
            solving, creativity, and adaptability alongside technical proficiency. This holistic approach ensures
            that adult learners not only acquire specific digital competencies but also develop the metacognitive
            and interpersonal skills crucial for navigating an increasingly complex and dynamic digital landscape.


            The initiative is particularly pertinent for adult educators and education centres as it addresses the

                                           Slovenian Adult Education Institute

            The Slovenian Adult Education Institute (SAEI) has spearheaded a ground-breaking initiative focused
            on the provision of metacognitive skills and the seamless transition to digital education in Slovenia.

            In response to the evolving demands of the digital era, SAEI recognised the imperative to equip adult
            learners  with  metacognitive  skills  —critical  thinking,  problem-solving,  collaboration,  and
            adaptability—essential  for  navigating  the  complexities  of  the  modern  workplace.  This  initiative
            aimed not only to enhance participants' digital literacy but also to foster a holistic skill set that
            ensures resilience and effectiveness in the face of rapid technological advancements.
